Emily Hassin a lawyer licensed by the Law Society of Ontario. She was called to the Ontario Bar over 15 years ago and has spent most of her career navigating the highly complex legislative and regulatory landscape of Canada's financial system—one of the most heavily regulated sectors in the country.
She has served as:
· Chief Compliance Officer
· Chief Anti-Money Laundering Officer
· Chief Privacy Officer
for a federally regulated financial institution, gaining deep insight into governance, risk management, regulation, and the intersection of law and business strategy.
After settling in Sarnia and starting a family, Emily identified an opportunity to combine large-institution experience with a more personal, community-based practice. Hassin Dawson Law Group (formerly Emily Hassin Law) is the result: a firm that offers business-minded legal advice in a modern, approachable way.
